Not plants but some tools today.

The Multitool trowel was £4.95 and the hand weeder was £2.05. Both from Homebase Clearance.

The hand weeder is brilliant for removing weeds close to plants.

A productive few hours at the garden centre, though I could happily have spent several more there. I'm going to see if any of my late Grandad's legendary ability, to get something that has been heavily reduced (in this case a half price rose) to beyond its former glory, has rubbed off. No pressure, it's just going to be the centrepiece of a 26ft wide flower bed.

Gave myself a fortnight to talk myself out of the idea that the flower bed, formed after the collapse of a ridiculously large shrub, needed more plants in it - but it didn't work. The result, one Phlox Zwergenteppich, one Campanula Filigree, an Euonymus japonicus 'Pierrolino, a Dianthus Pink Kisses and some more holes to dig.

Knew I'd forgotten something in my first post, according to the label it's a 'flower carpet white ('Noaschnee')'. It isn't looking 100%, but I felt it was worth a punt for £22. Not planted them yet, that's my job for tomorrow.

Good luck with your standard Moley, I am sure you will have it back to 100% in no time.

Have been looking for the right second hand green house for the last year or so and finally got lucky. $150, in great condition and the right size for the spot I have (2.8 x 3.2). Included some useful staging too.

It’s dismantled and home now (a solid days work for the two of us!) but will be some time before it’s up as there is a bit to do to prepare the site (moving existing shed etc)

So excited!! Off to the greenhouse section for some ideas.

Three yellow Coreopsis, a blue and white Aqualegia and a deep blue Scabious bought from hardware store yesterday. The Aqualegia has been planted by the pond. Rest will go in my gravel garden but have a little bit of work to do to it first - hopefully today.

I've got one of those Noaschnee roses, @Moley, growing just as a bush on the bank at the end of the garden. I'm very fond of it - it's vigorous, disease-resistant and more-or-less evergreen - I was picking pretty little white roses off it at Christmas-time! So I'm pretty confident your standard will recover and do well.

35 x 13 Litre 225 x 225 x 260 heavy duty square pots for £3. Probably should have bought a few more as the car boot seller had 100's, seized and auctioned off by police after raid on cannabis farm.

A display-pot Conference pear from a garden centre that was closing down. Still more than I've spent on any plant before (£75), but that's a fraction of what a tree that size would usually cost. Getting it home was a challenge though! FB_IMG_1526906371098.jpg
