Yesterday was warm in the bright sunshine but a bit cold in the shade with a strong wind. This morning it was 37F at 5 a.m. but has soared to a hot 41F with the sun trying to break through the cloud. The wind has dropped. Sprinkler is working overtime.

Blimey @Scrungee I hope all your tomatoes survived in your Polytunmnel? It was forecast 4C but only got 5C overnight here. I brought all my tender plants indoors just in case:

Just got to my plot and it went down to 2.5 Deg C in the tunnels and that was under fleece plus I closed all the vents in the afternoon to get everything nice and warm inside.

Good job I brought the more tender plants back home yesterday.

24c with exquisite blue skies, supposedly possible showers around? Enjoyed drinks on the patio with good friends, including my Slvavich I made last year from my own cherry plums. :ccheers:

Hi Petals and welcome to the forum.

I have a The Purple Leaf Plum Will Stand out in Your Garden in a pot on my patio. Last year I had the grand sum of 29 plums. One was rotten so I split and put 15 each in two jam jars, added a couple of tablespoons of sugar to each, a cinnamon stick and a few cloves. Close, set aside and turn over every day for two weeks. Then put in a dark cupboard for at least two months ... I made mine in May last year and forgot about it! DE-LIC-IOUS!

You're welcome. Lovely combo. It was 14 in each jar (can't count) and I forgot to mention to fill the jars with Vodka ... but guess you figured that. :heehee:
