No pics, I'm afraid, but pleased to say lots of butterflies this year  I think I've identified a common blue ( not common here I might add:snorky:) and others I'm not familiar with. Lots off bees too :blue thumb: Red tailed, bumble, honey.
When watering the sweet peas tonight one crawled out of a hole near the stems, I did feel guilty as it came out sopping wet

Ive had them flying round me all day they have decided to nest in some insulation in the eaves of the summer house, i blocked there direct path to the nest with a fascia and there was a fair few flying round trying to work out where the nest was,

There not hurting anything at the moment so i will leave them B, i think they could be honey bees if they are my pal will come and take them, i will grab a few shots tomorrow :)

I wasn't expecting to but we were half way around the lake and I didn't realise just how steep and rough the path was at first. It was the thought of the coffee and shortbread biscuits that kept me going :snorky: :loll:

Spent the day with Mrs S at Ham Wall RSPB on the Avalon marshes near Glastonbury. Saw Marsh Harriers, Hobbies, Great White Egrets and a brief view of a passing Bittern (great to hear them 'booming') but none were really close enough for a pic.

These ducks are so tame that they waited, in flight, for the skipper of the boat I was on to give them permission to land on the stern. :)

Michael, the young fellow who helps in our garden is always rescuing animals in distress. year he bought a horse from a traveller as the horse was in very poor condition (only paid £100). He then moved it to a field of a farmer he knows, looked after it for six months until it was reasonably fit and then, because he couldn't afford to continue, got a sanctuary to take it.

He's had other wildlife he's rescued and this time he has three young Magpies as he found them as very young chicks alongside their dead mother. They're almost ready to be let go.
