    The Rose is often called the Flower of Flowers. That photo IMO says it all. Now for GC members and rose lovers. Please share your thoughts, likes/dislikes relating to the queen of flowers. For instance, what roses do you grow. Do you have special likes and dislikes to types. OK as starters....sorry, no points to be scored. 1. The HT. 2. The florabunda and 3. the single rose. My dislike is the one that appears never to open fully. Over to you.

    I have a rambler and climbers bush and T roses they are one of my garden favourite plants. The only thing I will say is all my roses have to be scented and I have achieved that so far. :SUNsmile:

      Hi @Mike Allen 1.I love all Roses,I was conceived and born in a Rose bed;):smile: (so I was told)Hybrid Tea,Floribunda,climbing and Dog Roses:smile:

      I cannot pin my favourite down to one Rose,Peace means a lot to me as its history tells its own story,and Whiskey Mac because it was my Dads favourite:smile:

        Yes I agree with you about Rosa Peace. Great meaning behind it's name. Now considered among the 'oldies' Yes still holding it's place on the market. Great rose, really strong grower, needs a lot of space to show off. Whisky Mac, now you are talking my 'tipple'. Once again a great rose of it's day and, yes it remains a good seller. Continue to love your roses.

          Perhaps I may have mentioned this before, if so, my apologies. It takes about twelve years for a ne rose to hit the market. In my book it can take several more years to become established, accepted for you and me. Might I suggest that before paying out for a new rose. Please do some research. If like me. You follow close to new additions, spare a thought for those oldies that still sell well. Just a thought.

            I love many of the old roses Mike and do tend to go for older established roses as have had some disasters over the years but all good at present. There is no sweeter scent than that of a rose. :thumbsup: Well in my book anyway. :biggrin:
