Got a phone call from the hospital, the doc has arranged for an urgent appointment re my anaemia and I am to go on the 29th for an investigation as to why my blood is so poor! Not looking forward to that.

 

@moyra I'm sorry to hear your news but happy that you will be getting assessed quickly.

I'm now packed and ready for my trip. My kids are dropping by for a visit this afternoon. It is a bank holiday here- Victoria Day. Because this Queen's birthday falls on the 24th, we celebrate the holiday on the Monday before. Everyone calls it the May twofor weekend which is also celebrated by many with a case (24) of beer. Usually there are fireworks displays here and there. And then all is quiet until Canada Day.

Good morning everyone. Well I had a consultation phone call from the consultant at the hospital last night. He thought it would save me going in on Tuesday and that they could get straight to the business of top and tail camera jobs. So Zigs it's funny you should mention bottoms! He says they will deliver some medication which will clear my system and then give me a new hospital date to do the endoscopy etc. He said I shall not be able to drive as they will sedate me and Steve should be there to escort and care for me afterwards. They hope it will be sometime next week. So everything is in the air for the time being. Dentist today for extractions and again on Thursday. It's all happening at once.

Not sure what I have to smile about but it might help!

 

Good Morning everyone, John, I do not give blood as I have been anaemic for around three years or more so that is why they are doing the camera ops. My health problems are causing me mental forgetfulness too. It turns out my dental appointments are not until next week, Tuesday and Thursday. Trouble is now they have arranged for the oscopies to be carried out on the Friday 1st June, with 24 hour fasting and medication to clear my bowel not sure this is good on top of the extractions? What should I do?
