WHAT JOBS ARE WE DOING IN THE GARDEN TODAY 2018

To be honest, I'm probably looking for things to do. But you can always find something, can't you?

 

Yes I have mentioned already a new porch

 

Lovely heavy rain here, roads are flooded in places.
Had to move jobs around as my better half is of to London today so I’m looking after her little friend.
He’s already taken over the sofa and my work jacket and with my little girl have managed to half remove the throw.
So it’s tidy van up day, got 2 quotes to do, SeaFoam has arrived so I might give that a blast.

Well, this morning is slightly damp! So far anyway. Overnight light drizzle but already warming up. The drizzle has made the garden look fresher and cleaner. Looks like a surge in growth overnight too esp in the veg plot

No gardening today, busy elsewhere, but nothing too urgent to do I think. I potted on already large dahlias in pots yesterday and need to plant out a couple more (in the "perfect" spot!! ). Possibly, I may have lost a salvia Waverley and one of my leucanthemums but they could just be late, very late, in showing signs of growth. If they dont recover, a couple of dahlias will replace them.

The back garden will be swept as the black birds make a nice mess throwing out the gravel after worms and the bird bath refilled besides the front one...this is done daily any way

 

I’ve just added some of this Seafoam to my mowers and scarifier to see if it’s as good as they say.
The other day I cleaned out the jet on my John Deere which is a back up mower and not been started for a couple of years.
It failed to run as it should and only wanted to run on full choke so I removed the jet which was completely blocked by gunk from the petrol.
Took a few cleans before it started to run as it should but a little rough still.
Ive not gone crazy with the Seafoam and will see what happens.

Will you please and stop calling it a dog basket, as your 2nd pic looks ok and especially your 3rd from your home.
Hubby as just finally seen it as I told him what you've said about it, he said it's not to bad but what you do need is Roof slates so they over hang and you can overlap them besides cutting them and then you wouldn't see the shape at all...take a look at this link he's given me as they're not expensive for what you would need

The water is lovely and clear though mate ….doing a nice job of keeping it right

 

Lucius the gravel is making it look a lot better in my eyes
