I had a Paul's Scarlet rose that died.
I cut it down to the ground and left it. Last year I had a sucker come up from the root stock.
    It is now in flower.
Can anyone ID it for me?
    Is it Rambling Rector?

@Pushkin I've just put in the amount of petals being 5 and by what I can see this looks like what you have...what do you think regarding the leaves although they're distant they look very similar :what:...if so it's a white rambling rose:whistle:

It's a white rambling rose alright. :hapydancsmil:

Thing is, in the space it's in, it might have to go.
I have a Mrs WP Wood fuschia to go in that gap. :spinning:

I could move it to my pergola or grow it up my palm tree.
Problem is I'm a bit worried it will just go wild and take over.

I think they do go wild...we had two red ones either side of our property when we move here..:wub2: show but as soon as it was cut back in no time at all it was going again but kept heading towards the windows for some reasons, so they was removed...it got slabbed and hydrangeas went in either side.

That would look stunning and I've just looked at that link again and those wild ramblers are the same as the pic you added.

What palm tree do you have as I added a discussion yesterday and hubby is going to take pic's after...here's my discussion on what's happening with them.

I have no idea what my palm tree is.
It was there when I moved in.
I could stand on a chair and reach the top of it. Now it's almost as tall as my house.

It flowers at different times of the year and you'll know when it's going to flower as it will put out flower spikes.
Here's my problem though. The flower spikes are massive and I have to wait until they fall down to take them away as I can't reach them.
Just one flower spike will completely fill my green wheelie bin.
The other problem is when it sheds it leaves.
We are talking a massive amounts of dried leaves that won't compost down so well.
                          They burn lovely tough.

No idea what the plant might be but "Rambling Rector" is a brilliant name! Just don't grow it too close to maidenhair ferns... :heehee:
