Yes! they really managed to harmonise well particularly where the jazz chords were required.

This was much easier for them.

I'm still getting to grips with this piano. There's 175 buttons 10 sliders 5 dials plus the foot controls. What else... Oh yeah.. It's also got 76 keys.

      I bought a tower fan from Wilko's.
We've got a conventional one on a stand for the bedroom and one for the lounge. But this is for the front room. They aren't really necessary yet, but as soon as the really hot weather starts, they fly off the shelves.

I remember a few years ago when we hadn't actually gone in for one, we were about to buy one in B&Q, on a really scorching hot day. They'd sold out of every kind except the last one, which we picked up and put in our trolley. Just as we did, a young couple came up to what was now an empty display. They had a new baby in a pram. They were obviously wanting a fan for the baby. So we said they could have the one we were going to buy. The girl was so grateful she had tears in her eyes. We got another for the lounge the following week...when it was raining!

In the mid 90's we had about five years of heatwaves. I was still working then and after a day of slogging hard at work in temperatures hitting the upper 90's (35C upwards) I found it very tiring to come home to a house that was also at that temperature (windows are south facing). So we installed fixed air conditioning units - one of the best things we've done to the house. :blue thumb:

We decided that with both of us working we should splash out on making ourselves comfortable and we've never regretted it. Since installing solar panels some years ago it has also worked out very cheap to run as the hot times, when we really need the air conditioning, are usually when the sun is producing all the power we need.

For some reason, lots of friends keep popping in on the very hot days  :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Played golf today, I usually take a pack of mini sausage rolls to eat and share after we've played 9 holes and before we play the 10th. Most of us stop for at least a drink. But I'd forgotten to buy any. Fortunately I always keep a Hobnob bar in my golf bag, for occasions like this. So I got it out and started to unwrap it. Just then, I looked down and six feet away from me was a fox. He was looking at the bar. So I chucked it to him, he picked it up and ran off with not a word of thanks!

Foxes are very bright, over the years, they've learned to hang around the tenth tee, in the hope of getting fed. Some years there's none, as in the wild they don't live that long. There's sometimes four families of foxes on our course in different places, but they are territorial, so only one family would be in that area. We don't always see them, but the greens staff do as they are wizzing about on mowers early in the morning and can cover a wide area, so more chance of seeing one.

The markings are green for cables
              Blue for water
              Red for electrical
and there's a yellow for gas.

All three i think, they're shallow cables and pipes.
They mark them so that they can accidentally cut into one.:heehee::snorky:

Son came round, stayed for 3 hours.
Then walked the boys, going to have dinner now.
