      Aloha everyone,

It's a dull but mild morning and I hope to get more mowing done today. I also need to tie in the runner beans as they're now growing like mad and not climbing the canes :nonofinger: I've tied in about 100 so far and they are waist high. Once tied they grow even faster :blue thumb:

@CanadianLori you're going to have a colourful garden .

The CT seems to be less invasive than them shoving cameras everywhere. :)

Apart from the gardening I have to sort a lot of things out and Mrs Shiney's brother who lives in Brazil is arriving tomorrow.

My no diet, diet is still working and I've lost another lb. That's 17lbs since January. :yahoo: I don't feel the least bit different :noidea:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

        Good day everyone
I have been working for about the last hour and hope to be finished by noon. It is cloudy and cool out there so it's a great time to need to be working inside :)

@shiney I have lost some pounds in the last few months as well. Unfortunately the leftover excess weight has shifted around my middle :yikes: ... let the exercises begin..

When I arrived at the carpark after the flight home, it was to discover that my car would not start. It has gas in the tank, power in the battery but refused to catch so I had to get it towed to the dealer's garage and then find other transportation. G
ot my car back last night after a new fuel pump was installed. I'm glad to have my car back because my son has my Chrysler van and I really feel helpless without wheels.

Once I've finished working, I'll go out to do a little grocery shopping and then back home to bake some bread.

Have a super day and play safe!

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all in fine fettle. Looks like it is going to be a lovely day.
Yes the CT scanning will be less invasive, just hope I am doing the right thing.
Have a good day, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless. :wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

I've picked Mrs Shiney's brother up at the station (he's come over from Brazil) and he was sitting in the warm sunshine reading his paper. The temperature had already hit 76F by 10.30 a.m.

Going to cook a leg of lamb with all the trimmings as he's here. Mrs Shiney doesn't like lamb so I rarely get a chance at roast lamb.

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Good day everyone
It is only supposed to be in the 70's today and later we'll be getting some free water according to the weather guessers.:hapfeet:

Something has been chomping on my sprouts and cucumber seedlings so on commercials breaks during my show, I'm going to finish off putting netting around them. And I'll just shove some more seeds down next to the maimed and dead and hope that they germinate quickly and catch up.

I baked some bread and buns yesterday but I'm still in baking mood so I think I will make some Chelsea buns this morning. Keep one here and take the rest to my pub friends. I'll be going there for an hour this afternoon. I brought back a copy of the Star for the single fellows to ogle and a copy of another paper for the more gentile :snorky: There is one gardener in my circle of pub friends and I have brought back a key chain from Kew for her. Cute little wellies with the RBG logo.:) I'm glad I bought post cards of the places I'd been because my pictures are a little fuzzy and not worth much to anyone else to view.:rolleyespink:

Off I go to start some dough.

Have a wonderful day everyone and play safe!

                    Aloha everyone,

Drizzling very lightly here :hapydancsmil:. Hopefully it will keep it cooler than the last few days.

I sold more plants yesterday (£40) as we still have people popping round to buy them. We're still tidying up but nearly done and I'm starting to go round pulling up big weeds that seem to have suddenly stuck their heads above other plants. At least they kept their heads down for Open Day :)

Keep well and have a great day

                    Aloha!

@shiney they do tend to do that. Hide until they are giants.

We are having cooler days - cloudy and in the 60F range. Very comfortable for working inside and out. I've already been out sprinkling grass seed in a few bare spots and then covering it with soil as we are expecting a little bit of rainfall to help the seeds along.

I have a couple of cushion covers to make today and a sales call to make and then I will be giving my sister a lift to various appointments.

One of my favourite trees in the back yard has lots of dead and dying branches and I believe it is due to these U.S. red squirrels. Nasty little beggars are stripping it's bark. Guess I'd better get my pink job out and do a little target practice. I do not want to lose that tree!

I hope everyone is having a comfortable day and remember to play safe please!

                            Aloha everyone,

Only very slightly damp out there today. It's warming up and the sun seems to be up there behind the clouds.

@wiseowl good luck with the MOT. I seem to remember that they have now added some extra checks to the procedure

I have a busy day today. :phew:

Good morning everyone, not too many extras I hope Shiney as I too am taking my little car round for its MOT Thursday morning at 10am. I have only done 288 miles since its last one. It was off the road for the best part of 6 months while my feet were bad.
Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.:wub2:
