Martin it's funny you doing this but I have a friend in wales who moved there and she added one massive post in her garden, well being English when the footy was on was flying the English flag [IMG]….both neighbours being Welsh wasn't very pleased asked her to remove it which she refused to do :snorky: and knowing Lynne it wouldn't happen :whistle:so she came to a compromise with the neighbours and did both flags :dunno:

If you've got a balaclava and a torch, how about a spot of guerilla gardening on a council roundabout somewhere?!

Coincidentally Gail, my neighbour popped over to ask me to ID 2 plants in her garden. One was spirea Snowmound, the other a deutzia. Snowmound is delightful and used to grow it a lot elsewhere; maybe I will add one here now :). Pruned correctly they are nice and compact and flower reliably :)

PetalsonthePavingSlabs, yes indeed spireas do come in whites and there are some larger shrubs too.:)

Still got a bit of a bug but the hero in me made me take out the puppy for a long walk, cut my niece's overgrown grass and then mow my own lawns. Hero eh? Yes indeed :snorky:

Lucius, you'll get there and feel great :)

My niece has kindly given me the remit to build and plant up a raised bed. If I'm good I can make a second one!!! :noidea::)

Too hot to do much. Watched a lot of tennis on TV.
Did mist spray the acers, did a bit more rhodo dead-heading also watered a two-foot wide area of the lawn where it joins the path all the way down the garden. This area is the first to dry out in weather like this. Put the leaky hose watering system on to water the borders and the rockery. It'll turn itself off in a couple of hours, then I'll put the lawn sprinklers on for a bit.

Logan, I posted a picture a few weeks back. A gorgeous, fluffy, white golden retriever called Nico. Now 17 weeks old....its true, he is a "babe magnet". If only I knew this few years back:snorky:. Everybody loves him, wants to touch my "baby polar bear":)
