You probably consider these weeds but the scent is what attracts me

I just love these :wub2:. First time for growing them and a bit of an experiment to see how they got on with my part shade, part sun back garden border.

We don't mulch them. :noidea: Ours are in the long bed along the driveway, where we removed all the conifers. The only protection they have is the fence near them that is 3ft to the east of them. They're in full bloom now.

Thank you. I haven't done anything special to them, planted in ordinary soil enriched with compost and rotted manure, fed with liquid seaweed. Scabious is recommended for full sun ( so it says on label ), but I have found they will tolerate half sun quite well.

Further on hedgehog killed a couple of days ago; it wasnt my own little visitor because I saw him last night.....well, I heard him first:). Doesnt mean I feel sad for the other hog at all but at least mine is safe :)

I didn't know that about the mildew. Wonder why full sun on the label then. None of mine are in full sun and always kept hydrated.

Glad to hear you still have a :hhog: visitor. One of my over wintering hogs I released has had to come back in as didn't cope too well upon release. Now he is feeling better he is showing his appreciation by trashing the cage and pooing everywhere - how can so much come out of one little bum :hate-shocked: .
