Remember to take cuttings this summer logan. The Kudos series are supppsedly hardier agastaches but worth taking precautions.
I have Yellow, Mandarin, Coral, Ambrosia and Gold. :) The elusive one, so far, is a blue.....Silver Blue??
More folk should grow agastaches.....some superb varieties out there now :)

Got some catching up to do in the garden today as I had a bit of a bug last week. Replacement lettuce planting, more staking of dahlias and heleniums (all growing a mile a minute)

    Already hot :SUNsmile::)

@ARMANDII , you made me smile when you described working on your pond....

Hubby thought I was a bit mad putting a pond in whilst he was away for a weekend. But I think he is seeing the benefits now. He is already aware that I can loose myself completely when watching the wildlife there, and he can spend minutes staring into the shallows, watching the tiddlers dart between the pebbles.

Ponds can become a bit of an addiction and faced with something like this, partners can wonder what is the point of it all. But you have to have a long-term vision.

But as it's been like this for the last 32 years, she can see the effort was worthwhile.

It is a thing of beauty, DR...and so is the rest of the garden.

Ditto DHR :). Well worth it :)

Horrible task first thing today.....had to pick up hedgehog killed on the road outside my house. I have one here for sure but think there were more. Feels like I have lost a member of the family

Oh, poor hedgie :cry3: and poor you for having the task of dealing with it. I've had murder and mayhem up here. Found a pile of sparrow feathers and blood on top of bin lid a few days ago. The next day there was a mangled baby sparrow hanging out of a nest box. No sign of the other babies, hoping they all made it to safety.

              Glad you are feeling better.

Just consigned the epiphyllums to the compost heap after several years fighting mealy bug. Will restock later this year or next year.

Will do logan......mine (Coral esp) are about to flower. I always cut them hard back so a few days I guess:)

Cut back geranium Wargrave Pink.....anyone watching would think me mad but they have been glorious for several weeks now and if cut back now they will flower again more profusely soon; it is also an organic way of preventing geranium caterpillars/sawfly that start a'calling in early June. Rozanne, Orion, Jolly Bee, Elke seem never to be affected. Ann Folkhard is another martyr to sawfly.....cut back 3 weeks ago and reflowering already begining

I filled three wheelie bins with more cutting back of the infected Viburnum tinus - fairly tough work stretching with the big loppers as it would be easier with a chain saw.

Also did some mowing, cleaning in the greenhouse and repotted/potted on loads of things. I mainly potted on about 45 chilli plants (intended stopping at about 30 of them ) and expect to sell a lot of them in a month's time. Used up 3.5 bags of 70 litre compost doing it. :rolleyespink: Moving the bags to the potting area was the hardest job.

The Irires in the trough came out recently. Today I had the idea of trying them in the back garden. I am looking for ideas to fill these areas. They are blue and yellow which is a bonus.

This picture was taken at noon. The sun is just about coming round. The irises should be in full soon for the rest of the day all being well. At least they 're still in their trough. If they don't like it there I can always move them back to where they were.
