Sounds like you have back problems like me mate...that's why ours is gravelled and lined, you get the odd weed that as a good shoot which forces through but that's nothing to fetch out to weeding properly.

Even if its graveled and lined, the extra ground cover would still prevail.

Great videos Redstar and wonderful garden :wub2:. I have Hemlock in my garden, seeds get blown in from the plants along the lanes. There is a lot growing along the lanes and now a lot in my garden. It does look pretty but I need to curb it as its running riot. Haven't worked out a strategy yet, except for cutting off flower heads to prevent even more seeding.

Hello @redstar it's funny you adding this months video as I was going to ask you about it but I thought no that's cheeky in case you was busy :)

I know you add video's each month but how you said your Lace Top changes colour...could you take a photo also please of each colour change as that would be nice to see, as I adore our two Pieris and watching the stages of how they change.

Your two Spirea's are nice also looked at images of them and there's some stunners in them and what I noticed was all your hydrangeas seem more lose and flimsy to mine, different genetic breed

Your poor Hostas are getting lost but you do have a beautiful display and god knows how you get amongst your plants to clip, you must have to tip toe to stop harming them ;)

:thankyou: again for adding it and it's a :wub2:pleasure each month to watch the growth state :)

thanks for the viewing @Gail_68 . last year gave tons of the hardy geraniums away to folks, thought I had them down, but they just thrive here. have a feeling in this thread there sits pics of the color changes of that hydrangea. unfortunately, uploading pics here do not work for me directly from the camera, so thus the videos.

Hello redstar ...you can see they thrive mate, they're over taking your beautiful Hostas...I never really know what colour two of my hydrangea's will turn out as hubby puts metal filings by the roots and it makes them change colour...first they was pink then purple and last year I had a mixture purple amongst pink but I won't let him touch my white one or the other as that's a totally different one to the other three.

That's ok mate i'll keep watching your video's...always an enjoyment

starts turning that pink, the last one is it in September ish. I put no shavings under any of mine. have two of same pix. if you notice in the first pic, the flowers slightly pink, that is what soon the whole shrub will look like.

Friends of mine brought over a big mint plant, wedged from their garden. perfect spot for it to have its way, and can mow down some of it if it gets to nuts. the soil is not the best so that should slow it down a bit.
