    I believe that it may be but I'm not good with common names I'm afraid.

    Not really - I just chuck plants in where I think that they will do well. I'm quite selective about what I grow though.
    That bamboo screen is just some cheap old tat that I bought to hide the wheelie bins :snorky:

            Oh forgot, a cactus Lobivia, really like the flower colour of this one, not that common I dont think?

                Pete what an outstanding show mate...that looks a real eye catcher [​IMG]

                  @pete that sport on your rose is interesting - does the flower get pinker as it ages? I like the original colour - what is its name please?
                  And it's really unfair how well your protea is doing! :snorky:Mine in my greenhouse has still not opened, whereas the one I keep in (cold) polytunnel always seems to abort the buds half formed.

                            Hi Gail, There are no shoots at the base on mine, but they have started branching higher up - around the 10ft level which I quite like.

                              John I have shoots come through the gravel the Cordyline base and stem...I can't cut them off quick enough :heehee: but Pete's told me how many to keep to each one but he thinks mine may not flower but we're hoping the other's mature nice and then we may consider cutting the stem...10ft is a good height, i'll get hubby to measure our tallest one :)
