I'm going to washing my lawn mower. I bought it used and it needs a little TLC. It is a push mower and judging by how easy these things are to push around, I think I'll add some racing stripes to it :snorky:

I'll also be working on my rain collection tubing. It hooks up across the back of the greenhouses and the hoses have stretched causing lots of unsightly "dips". I was looking at the gutter system on the @shiney greenhouse and may even try to replace my current hoses with something similar to theirs. Don't want to waste good rain water :)

@CanadianLori it's simple small gague guttering and the clamps were easy to screw to the greenhouse as it's made of wood (Canadian Red Cedar :blue thumb: - Thuja plicata). As I only use one rain barrel I've had to run the guttering completley round the greenhouse. This has resulted in the barrel end of the guttering being quite a bit lower than the other end to allow for the necessary drop over the 50ft run.

I put the guttering there in 1976 and it has warped slightly in places but I've held those two sections in place with some wire. :)

Well hubby is supposed to cut the birch tree later but [IMG]it's gone quite windy here and besides the mess getting up off ours...the neighbours will be done besides :phew:

Hubby is going to see what it's like later as it's better to do it on a carm day

I mowed all the main lawns, didn't get around to trimming the edges, did three hours of weeding, a lot of tidying up :blue thumb:, wound in the beans, put up more rabbit protection (closer mesh than the neighbour had there) between us and the neighbour (had a good laugh when a rabbit came out of our wild area, ran like mad away from me, jumped into the fence where he usually fits through the wide gaps - and bounced off :loll:), I then had a stern word with a mouse about health and safety :nonofinger: as I nearly trod on him when cleaning up another area.

@shiney thank you...and geat minds think alike. I picked up the edging for gutters as I didn't have the space for the full size. They don't sell corners for these so I drilled a hole in the botton and made a spout out of a piece. I filled the ends with silicone.

I decided to take advantage of the lovely weather today, rushed home from work and weeded all the annoying little bits between the patio! Still some work to be done but looking much better. Next job to put down sand to stop them creeping back!

Hi Centime...we get odd weeds between the slabs...I just either pull them or kill them with weed killer but like you say makes it look much better ;)

Not much time for gardening today but did enjoy using my brand new toy, viz., a cordless hedgetrimmer. Love new gadgets! How sad is that? Ha ha,,dont care:snorky:

Trimmed a holly, taxus Summergold and a dividing privet hedge. My lovely elderly neighbour, as is her style, popped over to give me a lager. :kooky:Oh, picked some strawberries....enough for two persons but they looked so, so delicious that I ate the lot .
Been a glorious day.....sunshine all through:SUNsmile:. And more  to come.

@Verdun which hedge trimmer did you buy? I'm looking around for an alternative to the petrol trimmers. They are heavy to use, especially when my arms have to be extended to their full reach.

Lucius, Mine is a relative cheapo....Macalister MHTP18LI. Got discount too. Extremely lightweight. Lithium Ion battery. Whatever you go for opt for lithium ion battery. Nice Bosch hedgetrimmers out there too. Before you buy, handle it as though you were using it.:)
