          Lovely pictures Verdun. Lawn looking great too. Which achillea are you growing I don't have much luck with Achillea they tend to flop, i think my soil must be to rich for them.

            Perki, Achillea Moonshine there. Likes good drainage and sun. terracotta does well here too.

                            This is our sorbus at the bottom of the garden.
                            Over a period of three years, I've managed to straighten it up, by tying a length of clothesline to the trunk and a hook drilled into one of the concrete posts of the back fence. It was leaning forwards and way to the left. (trees do that). It still has a bit of a bend in the trunk, but it's as straight now as I can get it.

                            The blossom isn't up to much but it has nice red berries.

                            Three years ago in the Autumn, the naffin' wood pigeons broke a few branches trying to get at the berries. So two years ago I pruned off the berries in the Autumn.

                            Last year we consequently I believe, got very little blossom and very few berries.

                            This year it has surpassed itself with a lot of blossom and berries.

                            I'll just have to hope it can stand the weight of the pigeons.
