WHAT'S LOOKING GOOD IN JUNE 2018

Thank you. Wish it had looked half as nice last year, when I spent oodles of time nurturing it...

 

@Irmemac Those lilies are gorgeous. I`m green with envy, as I stopped growing lilies because of the army of lily beetles that invaded here - just didn`t seem to be able to get rid of them - they had too many reinforcements bringing up the rear - like a ruddy war it was.

 

Those lilies came from Morrisons last year. I've never grown them before but plonked them in a pot. When they came up I was amazed by how lovely they were. Never touched them again except to cut them down before winter and lo and behold, up they've come again. Was a bit wary in case the cat took an interest, but he's not a plant lover, and won't even look at the nepeta I bought for him.

Have never seen a lily beetle in the flesh, and hope I never do. That must have been so frustrating for you. Like my Great Slug War of 2017......

 

No trouble whatsoever with lily beetle this year. Two sprays in spring seems to have worked

I forgot its name after it died, this is its reincarnation . It does have some double flowers on it to.

 

I don't think she has ever been stung as she's been eating them for ages.

 

I'll try to remember to take a close up photo of the purple flowering bush tomorrow.
