@Gail_68 sorry mate, but I have to disagree with you. Noise pollution is a serious issue and in my town, the bylaws forbid creating it outside of certain hours and decibel levels etc. @garjobo79 if it was me and it became unbearable, I would make a point of parroting what these people are saying. Something like "hey, is that true that your sister in law is a shop lifter?" or some such thing they would probably not have wanted to share. They might get the point that you can hear them and maybe you'll get lucky and they'll pipe down. It won't cost a thing to try it
Hi @CanadianLori this is why I stated this below mate Knock your neighbours door properly and try and come to some arrangement..if not environmental health for noise. As I won't be adding any further to this discussion.
Gail 68 ( your age per chance? ) - nice that you wander in, critise me and then saty 'i wont be adding anything further' - just what was the actual purpose of your posting? Seems to me you have an agenda and made a point with your finger-wagging! It appears to me there is a 'regime' going on here. Dog - nit-picked their way in a VERY patronising tone, but has been here longer so stick up for him. I referenced him in 1 line - making the point that I will be ignoring 'posters like that' - the jobsworths - and you feel you have to weigh in! The advice given on this forum has been welcome but to be totally honest nothing I havent really seen before - heck even the links posted I had already sourced myself - but was being polite and thanking the posters. Google has already given me this before. So stick your forum, I will post elsewhere in future. cheerio and happy gardening!
Ladies and gentlemen, a gentle reminder from me that we pride ourselves on being a friendly forum that accepts members of all levels of experience from various parts of the world. Whilst I accept that we are all human, and things can get a tad tetchy at times (particularly when it is as hot as it is now!), we will not tolerate anyone being attacked personally in anyway. In particular, I would like to draw attention to rules 10 & 12: 10. NO FLAMING OR AD HOMINEM ATTACKS:: No member is allowed to make personal attacks on any other member or of the Admin Team. Criticise ideas, not people. Personal attacks are defined as Personal, Racial, Ethnic, and/or Gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments. This includes spite reporting or other similar forms of harassment via private messages or anything similar. 12. PEACE AND HARMONY OF THE BOARD will not be disrupted. Definition of this will be determined on a case by case basis by the Admin staff. This also includes issues that tend to be inflammatory to other members such as cats, foxes, 'vermin' and means of deterring, disposing of same. Posts or threads referring to inhumane or other objectionable means of dealing with any pets or wildlife will be summarily dealt with by the Admin Team and may incur penalties to the poster. The rules in full can be found here - 2018 NEW Rules and Protocols Please bear the above in mind when posting, and if you feel yourself becoming frustrated, it is time to walk away from the keyboard for a while......
I'm sorry you feel like that @garjobo79 . I do really feel you should stick around as there are some good people on here who do give good advice. Of course there are the usual suspects ( I won't divulge any names but there do seem to be 4 or 5 ) as there is in any walk of life, you just have to ignore them.
Yes, but if he had it running over their side it might solve the problem. I got quite wet taking that photo
