        Aloha everyone,

I've done a little bit of weeding early this morning and shall pop out there again soon. The sun is breaking through the mist/cloud so shan't wait too long before getting out there - don't want the sun to damage my delicate youthful skin :snorky:

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

My delicate youthful skin was sorely damaged last evening  first I spilt boiling hot chilli all over my arm.....and clothes, and everywhere else, and then when I sorted the burn out and cleaned up, noticed the pump floating in the pond - so decided to clean that and get it going again. Disturbed wasp nest in the shed and one went up my trouser leg and stung a couple of times and now I`m walking around with a tennis ball sized lump in a most unfortunate place - just thought I`d let you all know so you can have a laugh.
Here`s hoping today will be uneventful :uh-oh:

Morning all - not often I pop in here, hope I am allowed? ;)

It is already shaping up to be another roaster of a day here, which I am slightly dreading, as the heat seems to affect my chest, and my old lungs are nothing like what they used to be. Fingers crossed that we get a wee bit of a breeze.

Mrs C has refilled the bird feeders, and will refresh the water in the makeshift birdbath (we have upturned a large terracotta pot, and are using the pot 'saucer' on the top as a birdbath) - I can just see them from my location on the sofa, although they have been a wee bit reluctant this past wee while, presumably because of the heat.

Hope you all have a lovely day, and stay safe in the sun :)

PS It is bee stings you can pull out - not wapsies

Maybe that was a bee then - they leave the sting in the skin. Wasps don`t and they can sting more than once. Wasp stings can be treated with vinegar as they are alkaline, but bee stings need treating with bicarbonate of soda as their stings are acidic.

                                Good day all
@Tetters I have successfully used mustard (yellow condiment) on a sting and it has stopped the ouch almost immediately.

It is over 96f here and I have spent the morning doing wage earning work using a boiler iron system which brought the temperature 10f and raised the humidity. As soon as I finished with the iron and bled it, I watered myself under nice cool shower and feel great again. Guess I should get myself outside and water everyone out there too!

Have a super day all and play safe and keep out of the sun!
