      Naughty Naughty! :yikes:

Now, boys and girls, let's get back to the topic of disturbing noise from the neighbours.

(I'm here just to selflessly correct the unruly behaviour of some members best left unnamed, personally my worst neighbour music experience was when their device broke and my summer washing up was done without Johnny B Goode. ) :yay:

The weather was too hot to be wearing a T-shirt! :phew:

We don't have trouble with music too loud coming from neighbours but high pitched voices (mainly screams) of over excited kids from two doors away have been the occasional problem during the summer months. They've just put their house up for sale

Just got back from holiday and dropped on this post . From Garjob69 replies it seems obvious who the problem neighbour is :snorky: He was just blunt and rude or a poor attempt at a Troll. From the last posts it seems he has been deleted and taken his obnoxious personality to another unfortunate forum .

I was astounded the other day when I read an article about a chap who had been convicted of criminal damage, because he had snuck into his neighbours garden during the night and punctured their pool because he took exception to hearing the kids playing in it.

Toward the back end of last year, a new family moved in a couple of doors away from us, and they have a few young kids - this is their first summer in the house, and all this week we have had the French doors at the back of our living room wide open. We can clearly hear the kids playing away, squealing and laughing...... but that, along with hearing the odd lawnmower going, and the birds chattering away is all part and parcel of the joys of summer to me. I would much rather hear it than not.

Don't get me wrong, I know that some people have really problematic neighbours, and I can only imagine how that impacts on their lives - - but, I do sometimes wonder just how many people make things worse for themselves simply by taking a negative view.

No price can be put on good neighbours - the friendship and support that we have had from our neighbours in recent months has been incredible; so yeah, if they want to make a bit of noise.....

An excellent post, and absolutely right, imo.
We’ll be having the daughter and grandchildren round tomorrow, for a BBQ. We would normally have a paddling pool too, but given the current situation, better not. It’s not a regular thing and I like to think I’m respectful of my neighbours, but I love seeing them enjoying themselves. I too have great neighbours, priceless. Why can’t some folks get along...

I know someone in our area who, once a year, has hundreds of people round, has loud music all day and blocks the road with cars. :snorky:

To me if you buy a semi detached house in the middle of a housing estate expect some noise, to me chitter chatter is to be expected, if he said loud music late at night that's a different kettle of fish,

Presumable the op has no grandkids/tapes there mouth shut when they go in his garden.

I used to have a noisy neighbour. He once had an all night party with loud music and cars all over the place. The only way I could get a rest before my morning shift was to go to work and sleep in their office. Before that I had to find someone to move the car that was blocking my drive.

After a few hours at work I went home to freshen up. So I didn't have the same problem as before, I left my car on the road across my own driveway. When I came back to it I was kindly told by a policeman that I need to move. I explained my situation and he told me I should take it up with council. At 2am on a Sunday Morning?

                    G.

What a nightmare! I bet this person also grows that kind of plants and supplies to the visitors... I'd sneak through the hedge to see if there is any evidence of this kind of behaviour e.g. greenhouses. Shocking! [IMG] :snorky:
