6C8373FC-5DA8-4B02-97A0-BC196BD4E9C2.jpeg Couple of general garden maintenance jobs today then off to my better half’s place to make sure it’s all looking good for her return as she’s been on holiday.
Sat there yesterday having a cuppa and thinking I need to cut the lawn badly but held off :)

Catch up later today....lawns to cut, blackcurrants to pick, salad crops to pick....runner beans forming ( very, very late this year) and more :)

Had to sort a problem at my niece's yesterday. She was away for a few days and when
I got there a couple of workmen had used a mini digger to access her neighbour's plot. They removed a swathe of her shrubs in the process. My anger was clear, got their boss down and stopped the work. Their behaviour had been captured on niece's cctv too. Anyway, I have secured generous compensation and apologies and replanting will be done to at least as good as before and fresh bark chippings will be laid. They took advantage that nobody was at home. They initially argued they had a right to access across my niece's land even tho without permissions or request for them. They felt the full fury of my anger esp when the shrubs they dug up were dumped in a wheelbarrow in the full sun...must have been 30 degrees plus in that wheelbarrow. Still fuming!

Cooler today although still pleasantly warm:)

@Verdun Nico is gorgeous. I'm in love!!!

I'm shattered - worked with my 3 neighbours and we trimmed a massive hedge right back and filled up a huge tractor trailer with all the waste. I'm absolutely covered in scratches and stings. Then I harvested at the lotty and weeded and cleared all the pathways, bagged it up and its in the car for the tip tomorrow. Continual watering of the garden as it's bone dry.

The big garden project is well underway which has taken up a lot of my time. Builders have got the concrete base down now...I'll update my thread about it in a few days.

I didn't do much out there yesterday as I was out a lot of the day, but I got all the veg plot watered. Today I'll start moving the sprinkler around the flower beds. They're getting a reasonable amount of sprinkling once a week but some of them still don't appear to be all that happy. No sprinkling of lawns so they're going brown - but the weeds in them seem to stay green .

Even with not doing a great deal out there we still seem to manage to fill two wheelie bins a week with weeds. :rolleyespink:
