I have no issue with us making our goods compliant with their market's standards etc - that is common sense, and happens outwith the EU all the time; lets take something like a Bose product that is made in the US - when they want to sell it here, it has to be modified to work on our electrical system and meet our safety standards; we don't require them to be held to all sorts of other sideline agreements before we let them sell their products here.

As Iain Duncan Smith quite succinctly put it today - I voted out, not half out, and that is my issue. The unelected bureaucrats in the EU want us to keep jumping through the various hoops that we have to do now, only this time we won't get any say at all in the rules and regulations that are governing the majority of what we do.

As for all the fear-mongering about jobs etc. - if the EU want to get really silly about it all, and stop companies based in the UK from trading in the EU, then we should simply stop them from selling their rubbish here - starting with the German car makers who have been extracting the urine for years and years.

And for them to say that this is 'just a starting point' and that it will have to be discussed and negotiated with representatives of the EU.......... I call bullpoo on that one, as they have been too-ing and fro-ing for months now.

I say we call their bluff and tell them where to shove it, and then we can wait and see how long it is until they blink - and it won't be long as they will be bleeding cash from every orofice if they are suddenly not selling to the UK market.

Well, it' not often that I agree with the Germans and their politics, but they had a German MP on the BBC today giving his view on the BREXIT negotiations. His opinion was that the EU Commission had been arrogant from the start and were cutting off their nose to spite their face, I couldn't have agreed more. He also pointed out that when the UK leaves the EU we will be their biggest customer in trade........and that there's power in that thought.

I'm just wondering what has been going on between May and Merkel, why the meeting before they announced the white paper?
I smell a rat, and if there is something underhand going on it will just prove what everyone knows.
Germany are in control of Europe, exhust gasses and all, and two world wars did nothing to stop them.
Dont mention the war, I did once, but I think I got away with it.

Ten acres of 'desert', literally! There is an orchard though - mangos, lemons, oranges, papaya, grapefruit etc! We're hoping to start work on the house over the winter and looking at about 18 months of work.

Well, she was supreme in the Supremes, KFF. She had a No.1 hit with "Do you know where you're going to?", a top 5 international hit "I'm coming out", hits like "You've got me hanging on", "Ain't no mountain high enough", made a film called "Out of Darkness"...........what more do you want:dunno::scratch::heehee::loll::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Ooh Armandii, you gotta get your facts right when you talk to me about Diana.

Do you know where you're going to was a no 5 hit . Number 1's were Baby Love ( The Supremes ), I'm still waiting and Chain reaction. She made five films the biggest being Lady sings the blues.

                Yes I'm a bit of a DR nerd :)
Seen her 3 times and had a kiss from her :)

Still don't know what she's gotta do with Brexit though .

                          I'm absolutely spitting!
How dare that toupee wearing, odious little turd of an american president come over here (where he is not wanted), collude with that duplicitous scumbag Johnson and attempt to put a gun to Mays head over Brexit. He should have been arrested, cuffed wrists to ankles, chucked in the luggage hold of the first flight back to the US and banned from ever setting foot on these isles ever again.

As most of you know I'm no fan of Brexit, no fan of May and even less of those tory scumbags who stabbed her in the back for the furtherment of their own careers (whilst saying that it was a point of principle - ballcocks) but even taking all that into consideration this walking talking blob of human excreta is beneath contempt. That bendy CIA bullet cannot come soon enough.

                          Rant over.

Take it you are not a fan of my Scottish cousin then:snorky:. I had no idea you had such a way with words @longk. You leave little room for misunderstanding. We are getting a visit shortly(oh joy not). I expect the happy? couple will be decked out in tartan as all us Scots are perceived to wear permanently (not worn anything tartan for about 30 years!). What I don't quite understand not being up on American politics, if the Donald is even worse than I thought he was what the hell is Bill's wife like in that she failed to get elected?:yikes: PS See you saw Longk's offering too @shiney and posted while I was scribbling.
