Well, rain this morning. Most welcome :) Reasonably heavy but drying up now and the forecast is dry and hot today so I think we are destined for this summer to continue as it has done lately.:SUNsmile::SUNsmile: Temperatures are expected to rise again next week too.:) Fantastic summer but I was pleased to have some rain:noidea:

Noticing now that the hours of daylight are clearly reducing  Well, we are soon into August:noidea:

I want to replace a couple of plants today to ring the changes; the beans are producing well now so almost daily picking and wallflowers need to be pricked out.:)

The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.:)

Morning BigC :)...usually I remove the flowers on hostas and only allow some to develop now. I think the foliage is better when hostas dont flower. Also slugs are less partial to hostas without flowers.
(Probably 50/50 flowering and non flowering hostas)

Dont mention the Sulgs hahahaha..My hostas are around my pond they are huge affairs but a slug magnet...I have used every weapon imaginable and seemed to have stumbled on grandpas old remedy...Ash and cinders from the fire (not unlike Diatomaceous earth in its consistency) it is the only thing I have used thus far that is in anyway combating these slithering marauders...whilst it is working still the odd one or two break through by climbing up neighboring plants Grrrrr but I'm winning unlike previous years lol
