Well, if we have a Hard Brexit, yes. If we have a deal where we leave the Customs Union we'll notice, pete. I'm no hard liner but, after all the barriers, hard faces, arrogance of the EU I'd rather have a complete clean break. The EU's goal is a Federation of puppet states run by unelected officials with Germany and France hiding behind them. They want a EU Army, they want to stop our participation in the Galileo GPS Satellite project after we've provided millions of pounds and research into it...........we have always been regarded as the outsiders because we didn't adopt the Euro and that view has been evident throughout the negotiations with the EU.
We're a great country with great potential and the EU officials don't like that.:coffee::snorky:

Lucky Canucks. We had no debates or hand wringing. The Donald just told us to puff pixie dust. Unfortunately he is sending us his irregular migrants. Many who are being tossed because they are criminals and possible terror threats...Makes old Fidel look like a light weight

In that pic, our PM should be trailing behind the D with a shovel to make sure HRH doesn't slip :)

The thing is, we'll never get the clean break as the government are too weak and terrified to accept it. They want to say 'we did the deal!' to look like they achieved something, even if that something is destructive to the UK and unworkable with the EU.
It really would be best if big Mike told us to get lost and stop all the nonsense as we're striping ourselves up at this point!

Hard Brexit, soft Bregzit, what the hell are they on about?
As far as I can see, hard Brexit means we leave without a deal, soft Begzit means we dont leave as such, just hang around and take whatever they want to impose upon us, in future years.

To me, we must be prepared for a hard one, but hope for a deal that suits both sides but means we are not tied to them.
The ball should now be firmly in their court, but due to our large remain bunch actually running the show from the start, we are still dithering.

@pete we have many stretches of border (it is 3000 miles long) that have zero barriers. People are coming up uninvited and in large numbers because the D has told them he's going to find and deport them. And then our silly PM, Mr. Dressup, won't send them back. Particularly after the separating parents/kids deal came to light. Pretty slick timing.

I hold no politics. I am sick and tired of hearing, Brexit this and Brexit that. Why is it that we are being dictated to, being told what we can and cannot do etc.
Why can't we simply say. We are leaving the union. (I don't like this game anymore. Goodbye)

Because the UK plays buy the EU rules, unlike others within the EU, and we made significant commitments which the UK is required to honour and frankly no-one in government thought this situation could ever happen! There is no'simple' walk away option, the UK is in the cult of EU...

Its no good one country getting tough, they all have to, immigration is the burning issue, there will come the day when some counties will have virtually no population worth mentioning, all the go getters will have emigrated.
                  While their countries get poorer.
And I can see, in history, us getting the blame for taking all the people with drive and a work ethic from those third world countries.

We cant win, you damned if you do and damned if you dont.

We are supposed to be leaving, maybe it is about time we stopped playing by the EU rules.

Even a mild threat, to stop playing by their rules, maybe, perhaps, or just the odd word out of line.
Would you mind awfully, old chap, if we decided not to pay you all that money you are telling us you want, it is rather a lot, and we do have lots of things we would prefer to spend it on, if it's not too much to ask?

Yeah well most of us lot rejected it anyway, so looks like it is a non starter.
Still think the EU will sort it out on the final day.
We have lots to lose, but at some point it will dorn on them that they will lose out also, especially if we refuse to pay them what they are demanding.

Hard Brexit is coming, food prices will rise substantially with most crops doing badly this summer. The straw and feed prices are exploding with farmers running short of feed. What happens if its a long hard winter again?

Troubles ahead, hard left and hard right politics will fight it out and the liberal middle ground politicians will be crushed.

I truly hope this Brexit will be a guillotine moment rather than dragged out.

My business is solely want to have stuff, not necessities. So I am braced for the tsunami of economic nonsense. Presidents come and go. The pain will be swift and I think the EU wants to play not get on with it!

We already got screwed by the US in 2008 with their rotten junk mortgage fraud, we'll survive this one too.

Well, when we do go no deal - UK manufactured goods will be better value for money. Supporting UK jobs and diverting money away from Europe and into our own economy - every cloud has a silver lining as they say - vive la UK .
