We have had thunder here and about a half hour rainfall. Still feels hot though. A very hot sticky day.

23 Continous hours of thunder/lightning storms forecast starting 10pm this evening. Average probability 33% which means we'll probably get one out of the thunder, lightning or rain, but not all three.

Its funny but my parents loved their hot dinners come any weather but what they didn't know regarding myself...it was given to my Jack russells jessie and katie and out came melon for myself and other fruit :snorky:

Logan I can't count the amount of times I've been rushed in...the wind picked up slightly after dinner so I sat under the parasol for an hour then the wind dropped and the heat did come hard, so I came in and since 4pm it's been quite windy again...just been to the bin thinking the breeze would be nice but it's a very warm wind
Woo we need a good downpour :phew: and how are you feeling

I got 36.6 on the sensor today, and something similar on the mercury.
                Still 31 at the moment.

F5B5EF8F-709E-4206-B005-B08C8EB1413B.jpeg It’s still hot here despite having all the windows and doors open but at least we have a large fan on the go here for Mr Kandy and I have a nice breeze blowing through the lounge window:biggrin:

Although outside we have dark clouds looming so I have put out lots of buckets and my empty water butt is at the ready for the downpour we are due to get overnight and all day tomorrow :snorky:

Was going to watch Ruth and Eamon on channel 5 but we are watching Heatwave...Scorched Britain that has been put on instead, sad aren’t we:biggrin:

PS the heat has got to me as I had forgotten to add the photo:snorky:

I've been in Manchester most of the day but, on getting back home and checking the Garden Weather Station found it had recorded 86f as the top temperature with not a drop of H2O falling from the skies.:dunno: Right now, at 21.12 hours, it's 71f :cry3:, the pressure is 992hpa, with the Garden Weather Station forecasting rain..........yeah, right.:wallbanging::snorky:

33c here at the moment according to my tablet. I've been outside cleaning the windows and it actually feels quite pleasant. There is now a cool breeze which is helping. During the day the breeze was hot which wasn't helping.

They are predicting lower temperatures, thunder storms and rain for the weekend. If it rains on Sunday, after months of drought, there will be a row. :gaah:

Was supposed to have a thunderstorm, but nothing came of it.

Strange. Most of my working life was spent out of doors so the weather never really bothered me. Now the slightest change in temperature really affects me. In my flat it's been a constant 90F and now at 00.18 it's still the same. My bedroom is hotter.
It's always been our practice to shut the windows and draw the curtains. If possible fit some kind of external shading, so that the glass doesn't get hot. I have ceiling fans in all rooms plus a 12" fan, a tower fan and an air con unit.

It's nice to learn from the News, that HM Gov are talking about weather of the future, and that a rethink of buildings etc is called for. NOTE They are talking. Please don't attempt to understand, "Talking" That can go on for years.

Back to my neighbour. OK she might not be top of the class. Believe me, she knows her way around the system.
