There's absolutely nothing to worry about.

We will be free to tax nasty imported BMWs out of existence and start producing good old proper British cars again, and if UK aircraft are banned from EU skies/airports we can take our holidays closer to home, supporting Butlins, B&Bs, campsites, etc., like in the good old days :dbgrtmb:

Nope. The UK is poor in terms of raw materials, sadly very poor in skills (what do people think has driven immigration from the EU) and suffers from an education system that is designed to get passes (ie remember stuff but don't actually understand it).
As far as cars go, they will get dearer and we are reliant on the EU, Korea and Japan for the vast percentage of our cars. We are totally reliant on the EU for the cars that we actually do build here.

Only if you are tied to the pound which has become pretty much worthless. Grocery shopping in La Gomera was a tad cheaper than here.

Well mostly because we want "cheap" labour, just like Germany that has taken in lots more immigrants than we have.
Europe runs on "cheap" imported labour.
That is at the heart of their system.
Not saying all labour from the EU is "cheap", but just look at the farmers, some are moaning already that they cant get "cheap" labour from eastern europe.

Maybe it dont reach that far North:biggrin:

But its mostly farmers that use it, along with hotels that like to run staff into the ground, and to some extent the NHS, yes sorry to mention the NHS.
Personally I've found Eastern Europe building trades people to be a bit lacking, they will say they can do all kinds of things, then work out how they are going to do it once they get the job.

Yup,heard some horror stories about plumbers doing a beginners course at college for a week or two then taking in jobs causing a lot of damage that then has to be fixed by proper plumbers.
Its like the old WildWest nowadays.

See, another silver lining - people won't be able to afford cars - so less pollution and people get fitter through having to walk/cycle - and - less strain on our crumbling roads network. It's a win win situation - or, am I sounding too much like Donald? :snorky:
