My kniphofia mango popsicle still looks the one in @Gail_68 s photo. Plenty of leaf but no sign of a flower stalk. It was in full flower when I planted it last autumn.

IMG_4759.JPG I have several clumps of kniphofia Mango....some just stsrting to flower and some,,like in the photo, have been flowering for a few weeks. Anyway, once they start, they should flower continuosly until autumn.
As long as they arent too dry and have some food:)

I called into Lidl today on the off chance. It's not a store we usually shop in. I just happened to be passing. I didn't see them at first and I was heading back to the car when I spotted them by the entrance door. While I was waiting at the till, two more people decided they would like a pack. I should of asked for commission.

PS I won't be in a position to plant them out properly until next spring. How do I keep the alive until then? :dunno:

Tetters, that is one plant. Three years old, maybe 4. The root system is quite compact so fear not for it spreading. I will divide them all soon and then I should have 2 of every plant:yes:
All the persicarias I grow are one plant too
Please accept me most 'umble apologies for not replying sooner:snorky:

Re sempervivums, nothing special to do. Keep on the dry side esp over winter. You can propagate offsets easily too in spring for more plants

You dumped them Gail??? Shock (mock) horror:sad:
When your kniphofias are not to be seen ....from November to April.....your carex would have provided you with colour and form. Your kniphofia is not one of those to flower for weeks on end either so!!! We need to consider plants for all times of the year. Very few plants are eye catching all year round.:)
