To be honest to me, I am sick of seeing/hearing the Trump tweets.. Yes he has created jobs in the USA but he is doing far more damage to the rest of the world, just about everywhere it seems.. he doesn't help the people and countries who need help it is just"me me me" from Trump, he is so stupid he cannot see the worldwide affects he is having on other countries., I think he is a misguided, selfish self centred individual who is a redneck racist and a religious biggot.. In saying that we have the most stupid Gov' under Theresa May who has no idea but like to think she is another Maggie which she is not by any means and has surrounded herself with idiots who cow tow her Brexit ideas you cannot please everyone you stupid woman... We want the UK safe and she is not doing it because I don't think she thought the "leave" vote would win... We are in one of the biggest messes we have been in and they go on holiday.?!!!!!!! Well small balls this could be the end of the UK....!!!!!!

You are so very right @pete and the fact that we are now dependant on other countries is a huge worry as we have closed so many of our own industries and engineering is crying out for people but kids aren’t interested not sure where we are heading at present but Theresa May and government need to buck their ideas up or we will be up the creek with no paddle...,

 

Okay, I think we need to get a sense of balance and credibility to this Thread, difficult as that may be to such a controversial subject as Trump, his actions and policies, so may I request that links to such as Redstar has posted not be published on this forum to retain some sort of reality and truth.
Gardeners Corner is a forum where we all exchange opinions and information, hopefully with logic, honesty, credibilty, and a sense of humour. I'm guilty of posting cartoon images to reinforce and underline an opinion.......but I don't, and won't, post Fake News at any point of discussion especially if it might be directed, directly or indirectly at other members. So posting any kind of Fake News doesn't do the poster or Gardeners Corner any good or give them/it credibility. Therefore, to ensure that Gardeners Corner does not become a platform for any kind of Fake News and lose it's reputation for it's essence of credibility, logic, reasoned opinions, discussions, and humour, I would ask that we do not in future post any links to any kind of Fake News

 

Oh come on - Trump is dialogue, or rather discussion, gold! I haven't yet found a person that doesn't have an opinion regarding him or his actions and he is very relevant to the world today. This thread is out of the main gardening arena so I'm enjoying it very much indeed

 

Don't forget Russia; they own an incredible amount of real estate in the UK. We flog the property off for short term gains as councils etc don't have the capability to manage them and it's all in the interest of being inclusive and a global player (allegedly). It's incredibly stupid IMO but there it is.
We still have pockets of brilliance don't forget and contribute a lot to the scientific world but the UK simply doesn't foster the industry. As a nation I think we have become fat and lazy and content for others to do the leg work; a generalisation to be sure and led by governments incapable of delivering much of anything useful.
