Yawn yawn, wakey wakey Autumn 2018

Good day
We are expecting the daytime high temperatures to rise up to the 100f range after today and for the next 4 or 5 days. Tomorrow morning I'll be closing up the house, lowering the shades and watching the electric meter race as the air conditioning is operating. This coming weekend is a long weekend for some us. Monday is our Civic Holiday but it is not a federal holiday so many don't get that day off. I don't have the day off but that's because I work for myself and the boss is a slave driver!

I finished a pergola cover and will be delivering it today. It is in two sections that are each 5' wide by 30' long. Lots of work putting the binding on this one and glad my customer will have it before the hot weather comes back.

Woke early this morning to a cool one and got things done in the home before washing myself was considered while it was cool and by 9pm all was done besides the appointment made for the gas to be checked before winter ...passed it's MOT

Morning Victoria, 36c that's 96.8F I can totally understand your stopping in doors...mind you if we have temps in the late 70's like today the humidity in the home is overwhelming

Good day everyone
It is also going to be a hot humid day over here so I have shut all the windows and got the air conditioning ready to battle the day time highs.

I've got a lot of errands to take care of today so I will be distracted from thinking about the heat. I also need to sort through some bags of books. My BFF died in early 2017 and I still have all of his books on the subjects of trains and model trains. I will find some time to go through some more of the bags so I can find all of the ones related to British railways. A fellow he used to know, and I still keep in contact with, is from over the pond. This fellow would like to have some of these books, so I will pass them along. It is what my BFF would have wanted.
