@Kandy. Yes, I think Spain and the Alentejo region of Portugal (the region above us) will get the brunt of the heat. I just hope we don't suffer any forest fires like last year! At least we are geared up with a/c and an old cottage which is made of clay and has 60cm thick walls, including some internal.

We are both fine, thank you for asking. Seems like you are back on your feet (pun intended) by reading of your adventures!

Yes @Victoria I got signed off in June with my feet at the local hospital although I might be going to get orthotics sorted as my gait is now different with two fused toes.I can only walk around five miles max at the moment and if I am on my feet for too many hours they both start playing up letting me know that I need to go and get off of them to give them a rest:biggrin:

Haven’t done much walking this week as we have a builder in trying to put right the cock up that the other builders did to the dwarf walls a few months ago and two of them have had to be knocked down and rebuilt so it has been a stressful few weeks of late:sad:

We are down to 78f now and have the windows and doors open but the farmers are spreading what smells like pig pooh on their land so have that smell wafting through the village and the house which is giving the villagers something to moan about:snorky:

11 p.m. and I've just got home. The car's outside thermometer is reading 27C but the weather station is showing 75F (24C). In the lounge it was 78.7F but is dropping rapidly with the air-con on. :blue thumb:

Last nights low was 20C, up to 30 again now, but more wind and some cloud today, so doubt it will get up to yesterdays level.
                      On the whole, ...not complaining.:)
