Acme Fly Trap , Anyone ?

Obviously hot summer = lots of flies . We seem to have 3 flies permanently in our lounge . You kill three - amazingly there are still three ! Apart from being annoying to me , they drive Molly our spaniel to her wits end . Fly spray applied correctly subdues them . Fly papers are useless - sorry no, they can pull huge pieces of paint from newly decorated walls Wasp traps are easy to make , is there a viable fly trap to buy or make ?

@HarryS this bat as been a god send to me mate...insects hate it and if you switch it on they dive for the nearest window it you drive them in that direct...but to fry the S's is better

@Gail_68 , I have a fly zapper bat . If you can catch the boogers they work great . Otherwise I am running around the lounge like a mad-man trying to catch them !

 

I think a Chameleon around the house , would be spookier than the flies !

 

You need a Jiffy, he's good at catching flies, i've got 75 + this morning as we have bullocks in the field longside the house and them covered
In mid fight or fly on work top/table
I usally use a cuped hand, catch fly in hand,then open hand just before i squat it on my six pack , some times i use a roled up towel and use like a bat (but don't use near china etc)
This is how i do it


i have got 2 flies in one go and i have cult a fly bewteen my thumb and first finger in mid fight, you have to be Quick, not been able to catch one with chop sticks yet
Also put the vacum away and let the spinly spiders make cob webs

 

Mind you Harry it's very rare we have them in here as i'm like yourself can't rest till they've gone..totally vermin and they used to drive my Bruno mad...I was always hearing his jaw chop together

 

Sorry shiney but these always get buzzed can't stand them
