WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE 2018

Morning everyone,
Woke to a dull start and still the same now...it's supposed to be Temp at the moment 54F tops 78F and probability of rain 3%....I mean was that worth adding on the forecast

Weatherwise, things are really weird here. Yesterday we went to 37c unlike the Alentejo region above us which experienced 46c! In the early evening a massive storm came through but we only got a little rain. One coastal town got hail and two places had mini tornados! There are three forest fires in Algarve with the worst one in Monchique still not contained, Yesterday evening there were 710 firefighters on the scene, supported by 180 vehicles and 11 aircraft. We heard the water helicopters going over us, also already heard one this morning. They get water from wherever they can ... the sea, people's swimming pools. Eight firefighters injured from exhaustion and smoke inhalation ... they are all volunteers here ... they are the 'charity' we support. Some villages evacuated but no property or lives lost thankfully.

This morning we are overcast with the sun breaking through, currently 23c going to 31c ?????? I think it will get warmer.

Let us hope this passes soon as the heatwave moves away.

 

I feel like i'm being fried alive here :exhausted:….a good storm would do we all the world of good besides having a nice cool shower

Well woke to another dull start to the day but very warm in the air again

Temp at the moment 60F tops 78F probability of rain 4%

 

It’s too bloody hot to work

Mind you it will be interesting to see if we get any of the rain the weather station is forecasting

 

"37 feels like 41" at the moment here, and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer.

Still Thursday is looking promising - they are forecasting 16mm of rain. I'll believe it when I feel it, as I dance for joy in the garden!

 

I got 33C today.
The end is insight apparently, or is it.
Could be just another cool down like a week ago.
Met office says it could be back towards the end of the month.
We shall see.

 

We hit 98f today and have just had a lovely thunderstorm bringing the temperature down to 71f

We really needed some free water here as it has been dry for a week or so.

My new greenhouse gutters are working very nicely to fill the rain barrels.

 

Hot and sunny 27c, one of the hottest we have had here in the last two months, the extreme heat always misses us.

 

Cloudy and cool today,thankgod as ive been cutting hedges.
