    Can someone please tell me what is the best thing to kill thrips. They are devastating my plants this year, especially Fuchsias.

        Hi, best get a insecticide, sometimes there is no alternative.:smile:
        I was waiting for someone to come up with some crazy old remedy that involve hubble bubble toil and trouble, but obviously there aint one for thrips.:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                Thanks for the link @Gail_68 .

                The thing that bugs me with all this kind of stuff is, "you mustn't kill off the beneficial insects", I go along with that, up to a point, bees etc.

                But then they go on to suggest Neem oil and Soap, this must be really amazing stuff that is able to determine the difference between the good thrips and the nasty ones.

                  Pete I've tried soapy water in the past to remove green fly when I lived with my parents as she left her roses to me...it removed them to a certain extent but not completely and i'm not going to recommend any other killer as I've never used any on plants mate only weed killer for the weeds.

                  Anything that attracts Alphids etc...you know where they end up :whistle:
