I gave birth to an amazing little boy, I loved every minute I got with him. ( back to work when he was 3 months old) As a toddler he melted my heart ,precious moments. I've always loved his company, from day 1 to now, he is truly a good lad.
I can't describe how much I will miss him.
I thought I'd post this because it's uni time aswell. My son is going off to work but many are going to be going through the same with uni.
It's hard, he's going tomorrow, I'm tearful, happy for him, excited for him but .....tearful x

My experience of this is of the other side, and one thing is for sure, he will always remember where home is, he will always remember where mum is, and he will always be your laddie - - and I can tell even sitting here that you will have done such a good job (and the hardest job in the world, by the way) of raising him and teaching him that he is going to go out and do you proud, every single day.

Oh @Loki bless you mate...I've never experienced this never having children but I've seen the time where my moms cried when my eldest sister left home :)

I have to agree with FC...he'll never forget you..he's at the age of spreading his wings now and I hope he achieves a lot in his life  and can bring you joy and happiness...seeing him doing it. [IMG]

No one warns you about how it feels to suddenly have an empty house after 25 years of kids running about

2 of mine still visit :) don't hear a thing from the eldest

I know that feeling. I well remember leaving him at university, him walking off without looking back. We want our children to have happy lives and find work that engages them. And it’s really nice when they come back. My older son is 32 now and he is happy in his work and life and he seems to enjoy the visits when he comes back which are more regular now than when he was in his 20s. He’s no longer my little boy but he will always be my son.
