I wonder just how many correct identifications @Silver surfer has made for us over the years. I certainly would have a fair few unidentified plants in my own garden if it wasn't for her:dbgrtmb:. I'm sure we are all very grateful for her encyclopedic knowledge of plants.

silu...that is so very kind of you. Thank you. Much appreciated.
      BLUSHES deeply!

Identifying plants is my relaxation...like people do crosswords, Sudoku, jigsaws, knit etc.
I learn new facts every day...the more I learn the more I realise just how little I know.

I didn't say anything which wasn't true:). I have said on many occasions exactly the same regarding my knowledge of horses, so much so that I got to the stage of saying I basically knew nothing:rolleyespink:. Funny that there are others who believe they are complete know it alls;).

Mine is perhaps behaving a bit different from what is expected because it is in a garden in a house that is more than 2,000ft up in the mointains in Bulgaria. I read its natural habit is wetlands. It is pretty dry there and maybe is such conditions it doesn't sucker so much. Also, far from being late it had finished flowering by the end of July. I have several year tried deadheading but it will only flower once a year.
