    I have a Hoselock reel.
Somehow a side adapter has gone missing.
    I don't know what it's called.

    See pic below:

Do I need one of these?:

I went into B&Q. All of the adapters attached to the same reel type I have where grey?
Rather than buy the above item - which costs about £4, I can get a pack of 4 attachments for the same price or less, one of which looks like this part.
(Might not be hoselock make, but it's just a bit of plastic right?)

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the part is I need.

    Thanks.

Hi @enginestar. The bit sticking out of your hosereel is the same as the bottom of that yellow piece, just missing the black gasket ie it's the 'male' fitment. You need the 'female' part that the gasketted end pushes into and clicks into place. I assume that is the end of your hose that connects to the tap? In which case your tap would have a male end that is screwed onto or tightened onto it. You would then join the tap to hose reel via a short hose length with 2 female ends attached. Oh and get a gasket otherwise everything leaks...
By and large all the hose fitments are interchangeable - I buy from pound shop or wilco sale.

Does this help you @enginestar ?
My hose reel has a feeder piece that goes to the tap like this. Mine is a gardena, but the principal seems the same. It is a complete fitting, and the product code I found for Hozelock is 6005.
I am only a mere female - whenever I`m not sure, I ask the friendliest looking chap in the shop because it doesn`t really matter if I look thick :loll:

          thanks for the reply.
i have the other bits mentioned.
i'm just missing the grey adapter piece.

if i get this yellow piece, does this complete my jigsaw?

YES: joins to a tap. the tap has another part fitted i think. so i can just pull on and off.

'gasket'... i had to look this up. would this not come already attached to the adapter?

pound shop... hmm, i'll have a look. the thing weighs less than 10g. but royal mail would class it as a 'parcel'. therefore will charge £3.40 to post First Class.

'Hozelock is 6005' this doesnt seem to have the little grey piece i need. :)

          @Gail_68 just seen your reply.
          See this image:

This is the side I need.
BUT... the adapter in the picture is NOT the one I need. I don't have a thread head sticking out on my Hoselock.

I'm scratching my head now. The hole I have allows something of thickness maybe 3mm.

@Gail_68 I said this is NOT the part I need :)
See this pick of the close up of what I have:
the thread seems to be inside.
            Does that make sense?
So the adapter you have a link to won't fit in through the hole.
