Cor, John that is a whopper of a mess - fantastic and so interesting.... let`s see..... you have a jolly useful spot board there by the shed, just like mine... and ooh look, a poop tank :wow: ..I have one of those too next to the poop pit, in case the campers block the drains up. Let`s have another look....bin looking for some more of those great big black tub pots - you can get more muck in them. Shall have to award some stars for your contribution .... :star::star::star: :pathd:

@JWK, you have a fair amount of old tat there, but I'm afraid points will have to be deducted due to things like the logs neatly stacked.
What looks like a rusty load of scaffolding tower is neatly placed and almost hidden by the brambles, flower pots are almost tidy as well.

I'll give you 5 points for the dead Christmas tree.
6 points for the disgusting compost heap.
And only 3 for the general untidiness.
                      I make that 14 out of 20.

My entire garden is a disgrace this year - massively overgrown with brambles and raspberries getting out of hand, and I have acquired a buddleia that has taken up residence between the greenhouse and the fence - it is going to be an utter sod to get out.

This is a rose, struggling against a backdrop of cape fuchsia (massive thing - I think it is going to have to go!), and that is draped over by brambles that are getting well and truly out of hand. My whole garden is currently in a similar state :frown:

I am already scheming what I am going to do next year, and come hell or high water, I will have it looking ship shape and Bristol fashion!!

You have autumn and all winter FC. Nice space. A blank canvas perhaps. A sketch pad. Ideas for something special perhaps. :noidea:
Come spring and next summer maybe a blaze of colour will dominate there! .?? :)

In the meantime FC - just think what a happy time the wildlife will be having in there.

How many GC member live close by then - If I did, I would be round there like a shot, interfering with the brambles (if you let me of course)
[IMG] unless we get this lot in :th scifD36:
I`m afraid some of the other tatty corners are a bit worse though FC

You have earned a first prize as far as I`m concerned, but it is not for tatty corners :nonofinger:

I am currently planning, as the actual physical bit is a bit beyond me still. Mrs C will do some hacking back over the next week or so, to tidy things up a bit, and then the rest will be for next year.

I am thinking that I will go simple next year - really simple. Dahlias, lavatera, amaranthus and scattered calendula for the borders.
