Loads of Speckled Woods about on Wednesday on the brambles alongside a local copse, but I only had my phone to take pics.

Went back today with a camera to try a get a pic of them next to a colourful cluster of blackberries, but all I could find was a tatty one resting on the grass down in the shade.

Only a couple Speckled Woods about yesterday afternoon, and only one settled, in a dark corner but lit by a small ray of sunlight

Good morning its my small white sea shells I use for slug deterrent round the base of some plants, they don't like the sharp edges, and they are relatively cheap by the bag;):blue thumb:

A not particularly clear shot of a Clouded Yellow, the first I've seen(and probably the last) this year.

I didn't expect to see any Butterflies in January on Madeira but there were lots Monarchs around and for once I have seen them settled and feeding!

A couple of a hawk moth from last year.

The background isn't great but that's where it landed. Taken with my phone so quality isn't the best
