Allium bulbs

    This afternoon, I have been clearing out my seed box, and in doing so I have come across a wee box of allium bulbs that were purchased in 2016, and promptly forgotten about :redface:

    One of them has sprouted (looks to be a recent sprout), but is there any merit in planting them - and if so, when do they want to be planted?

    They are:
    Allium Moly
    Allium Ostrowskanium
    Allium Sphaerocaphaln
    Allium Mount Everest (1 sprouted)
    Allium Caeruleum
    Allium Purple Sensation

    To honest FC I would throw them in the bin. I can't see them doing much even if they did grow they probably wouldn't have enough energy to flower next year. You can plant them now if you want.

      Thanks @Perki - I did wonder about putting them in pots for now, and even if they didn't flower, could they maybe recharge themselves for the following year? Knowing my luck, they would jsut rot over winter mind you - probably best to just chuck them in the composter.

      Good plan, nothing to loose. That’s what I would do, especially as some are shooting.
