            We went to the theatre last night and saw Sense and Sensibility. Excellent performance. We then had the after show discussion with the cast and director. :blue thumb:

            Had a good walk this morning and shall be going to some horticultural gardens this afternoon.

                  We've just got back from a good week in the Lake District. Although the forecast was for rain most days we didn't get much at all. It rained three evenings, one very heavy, and drizzled for a couple of hours one morning. Not a lot of sun and not too warm but ideal for walking. :blue thumb:

                  It's very warm and sunny back here in Shineyland. I've picked lots of beans and courgettes.

                        I'm ready to get stuck into all the things I didn't get done whilst away. :phew:

                        My friend is out of hospital, very weak, but the heart attack doesn't seem to have affected his brain (which they said could easily be a possibility).

                          Hello :yay:,

                          It’s been a while since I’ve been here :doh:, lots of stuff going on & the ex battery hen FB page is still keeping me very busy! I’ve not done much gardening this year, my vegetable plot was a bit of a disaster my tomatoes from shineyland got blight, I’m only now getting a decent amount of runner/French beans :yikes:, I’m going to blame the weather not my green fingers!

                          My hens are all doing well, I have taken on two more bantums :snorky: they are gorgeous but very timid.
                          My cat is still plodding on (costing a small fortune for meds).

                          Things are still fairly tense between my brothers :sad:, I’m public enermy number one with one of the girlfriends...it doesn’t matter what I do I’m wrong...:dunno:.
                          It’s looking like kevs mum is going to need a knee replacement she has an appointment next month at the hospital.

                          Work is still busy for both of us. we managed to go out for dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday which was nice.

                          I hope you are all keeping well & enjoying your gardens?

                            Mrs Shiney used to have bantams as pets. They were cute, very pushy and she taught them to do tricks. :blue thumb: "Roll" was roll over and play dead, "Up" was for them to lift their wings so she could put her hands underneath and lift them up, "No" was to stop doing whatever they were doing and they stopped immediately - but totally ignored me if I said it to them. :noidea:

                            Definitely the weather. :blue thumb:

                            Families!!! :dunno: :doh:

                            Good luck - they're very good with doing knees and hips nowadays. :)
