Hubby made the Yorkshire pud from scratch. It was huge - nearly touched the top of the oven :snorky:

A nice way of serving them is individual puds.
A traditional Yorkshire pud tin has 12 holes.
I like to chop sausages into bits and spread the sausage and batter between the holes.
              Get it screaming hot first!

My mother was a war bride from Darlington. I loved her Yorkshire pud. Somewhere I have a recipe for a base of ground beef and onions/seasonings, then pud on top. A sorta twist on a Shepherds pie!

I was up there all week. :dbgrtmb:

Where in Borrowdale does he work? It's one of my favourite places.

Yes, Mrs Shiney and I have been members of the Lakeland Horticultural Society for over 40 years. :blue thumb: We were there on Friday. :)

There used to be a Michelin starred restaurant in Grasmere (Michael's Nook) that served mini Yorkshire puds in the lounge/bar whilst you perused the menu. They were no more than 2" across and had a little amount of roast beef gravy in them with a tiny slice of roast beef topped with a touch of horseradish also in the pud. It was delicious finger food. :dbgrtmb:

Hi @shiney , he's at the Lodore Falls Hotel. I'm sure you probably know it but it's just passed the Mary Mount Hotel and before you get to the Borrowdale Hotel. It's the one that's having a huge spa built.
Mini Yorkshire puds sound delicious but I need to start being healthier  so tonight is Cajun chicken salad, still delicious though:dbgrtmb:
