No sign of blight, manx marvels doing well outdoors, san marzano's ok and my "giants" ain't doing too bad either! I think neglecting them may have paid dividends?

I've removed a couple of plants from the greenhouse as they finished but most are still going strong:

Most of mine in my tiny greenhouse have stopped. Some toms still there but I've been steadily removing the plants to clear space for overwintering

My 3 crimson cherry’s are still going strong outside - they’re against a very sheltered wall, still picking handfuls every day!

Harvested the last of the normal tomatoes today.

They could have been left on the vine for longer but I decided to pull up the plants because I needed the space for another crop.

This might be my final picking, as the first frost is likely tonight. Larger ones below are from outdoor Crimson Crush which have suddenly got going at the end of the season.

Plus a few Chillies and maybe the last cucumber too:

Said goodbye to my polytunnel tomatoes for the 3rd time yesterday afternoon. The 1st & 2nd times I picked 90% of everything remaining and have still managed to continue picking about 2 punnets a week, plus get another 2 or 3 from those ripening indoors (all either have, or are about to ripen).

Yesterday I picked every single green tomato. In my garden a short while ago the temperature was just about to dip below zero, the sky is clear and there's no wind. In the street cars are covered in thick frost. Temperatures at my edge of village plot will be a couple of degrees lower.

Tomato growing may be over, but we have a bowl full of ripe tomatoes and enough green ones to ripen well into November.

I thought I would be way ahead of you lot down south re frosts but no! Last night was our 1st and like Scrungee I can see thickish ice on the windscreens of our vehicles.
My Sungold were still going a pace but not too sure how they will have fared overnight in the unheated greenhouse. I'll find out today:rolleyespink:. Picked my last 8! cucumbers 2 days ago. They have been ridiculously good this season. There will be lots of green Sungold, I'll hopefully get the ones that have started to colour a little to ripen indoors, the solid green ones will go into chutney which I'll be making along with some of the massive crop of apples we got. Certainly there have been winners and losers this amazing summer. Mostly winners for me as I was lucky and able to water copiously for weeks.

We only had a light ground frost, so everything survived in the greenhouse and there is hope yet for fresh tomatoes in November. Trouble is because the fruit is lingering on the vine waiting to ripen they are starting to lose their taste. For me the end of the season is a bit like the start, fruit doesn't taste as nice as in the high summer.

                            Dehydrating my excess from yesterday:

I agree, the late ones have little flavour.

I cleared out my greenhouse tomatoes a few weeks ago. The greenhouse is now full of citrus and other moderately tender stuff.

First frost here too last night.
