It's not a problem for me :blue thumb:. As I'm a devout Scrooge - I don't buy anything. :old: :)

      Two E-types?

It is about our futures, material or otherwise.

All joking aside, 80's Euroboxes are where it's at now. Square styled so Volkswagen Passats, Audi 80 and 100, Reno 5, Peugeot 405 and 505, Austin Montego etc. Stuff like that is still cheap'ish but deffo going up in value. Added bonus of being more reliable than modern cars, cheaper to run and repair, eligible for classic insurance and almost MOT exempt. I drove a 405 the other day and I had forgotten just how capable they were - lighter and without the electrotrickery (ie traction control, stability control etc) it is actually more nimble, better handling and has a far better ride than most Euroboxes made today. A real eye-opener. Best of all, it made me laugh as a BMW 1series tried to lose me across country and totally failed :lolpt:

God no, if I had two E-Types I would be rich! :heehee: I had an X-Type (when they weren't old), and then an XJ6 which I poured my heart and soul into - I re-wired the entire back end of the car after discovering various bodges and messes created by the previous owners, then I replaced the suspension, and did various other bits to it.

If, and it remains an if - - If I am able to get behind the wheel, I will kinda have to do so fairly quickly or I will lose 25 years worth of no claims bonus; I would want an auto this time - much as I now feel fit enough to handle a clutch, I haven't yet done so and even a couple of hours in the traffic around here might prove too much. It is also likely that I will have to try and finance it somehow, and doing so on an 80's motor might not be easy - - - as I say, all pie in the sky at the moment.

I loved my 405 back in the day - it was a company car too, so it was driven like it was stolen over vast mileages, and not once did it as much as cough.

@Loki - sorry for the diversion, but in truth it is these kind of things that are related to Brexit - from the products that will be available for sale, to the spare parts/fuels, right through to finance and insurance.

The answer to that is 'Yes' - or 'No' :snorky: It depends on which of their politicians you speak to. Whoops! I left out the 'Maybes'

There's so much fighting between Labour's left and right and 'Ins' and 'Outs' it's hard to distinguish them from the Conservatives! :rolleyespink:

Everyone seems to be 'stuck' on the idea of getting a deal by the 29th March - time is running out. It's the date we leave the EU - but it's not the date by which time we must have concluded a new deal. In reality it's not all that critical - we simply go onto WTO whilst we conclude negotiations.

Go to WTO and delay handing over 39 billion - see how Barney reacts when the 2019/2020 EU budget starts to be spent - he may well start whistling.

Or maybe Recycling and Composting? After all, old Compost Corbyn seems to be recycling ideas from the 70's..........

Well you have to wonder where he intends getting the money from to re nationalise the railways and the water companies.
Or does he intend just stealing them.
