Yup. Partly why I believe the brexit negotiations should have been cross-party. I find it staggering that a country made up of so many political and religious beliefs has been so badly represented by a single [conservative] party that cannot and will not possibly represent all peoples. So here we are, bickering and waiting for the shoe to drop.

Shineyland has no tariffs, no border checks apart from a cat scan :cat-kittyandsmiley: and temporary immigration is allowed to all as long as they have a valid work permit. Bribes are accepted at any time but are not essential.

Well, only 3 weeks now before the big EU summit to dismiss Tes's plan.

I was 'concerned' to read that Jezza is saying that he would follow the direction of the Labour party members when it comes to the EU - I thought that Labour MP's were there to support their constituents? What's to stop a load of hippies joining the Labour party and telling Jezza what to do?

Maybe I've go this democracy thing all wrong?

Well yes agree in some ways.
But if no one party is going to agree on the outcome then a cross party approach is only going to work if it contains like minded people.
To me that suggests the negotiations should have contained only those who believe in leaving the EU, from all sides, which kind of cancels out the lib dems.

If you include remainers you are back to square one, where we are now.
Which is why we are in this mess at the moment, no clear defined outcome, its all a fudge.

You can please some of the people all the time.
You can please all the people some of the time.
But you cant please all the people all the time.
Which is what they are trying to do.

A think a good start would be if each party could actually agree with fellow members within their parties - currently, it seems like a free for all.

Well you might say that, but bearing in mind those idiots are supposed to be representing their constituents, and not necessarily the party, I'm not surprised they have differing views.
The thing that bugs me is their view rare represents the view of their constituents, they either follow the party, or just their own ideas.

But, at the same time, you cant negotiate Brexit all the time others are doing their level best to derail it.

It is, with rare exception, party first constituents second. Years ago someone said to me if a person wants to be a politician then they aren't fit for the job!

Ok, so it took three years for the words, security and stability, to fall off the wall.
