Been like the middle of summer here today, hoping it stays like that for tomorrow, I've replaced my dead chainsaw and hope to finish of the tree cutting.

Job done, with plenty left to wrap some of the pots up.

GH cleared and now starting to put my cuttings etc in there......a definite sign of autumn :noidea: although as Moley said, it also was a big bizarre doing this when it was so warm outside.
Divided pennisetum Fireworks and potted them up.

I try to label but often the names fade and I am trying to work out what a couple of plants are; it will come to me hopefully. Why do labels fade so quickly yet are so hard to wipe clean?:noidea:

I have a sequence of transplanting to do but some of the plants are looking really good......maybe in a few days if it cools down!

I sense you are quite fond of wallflowers logan :snorky:. I prob have a 100 or so though. Had a neighbour who put out 1000 every year....would drive me potty:gaah:

I harvested lots and lots of HOT Chilli pods...and over the weekend I am going to make a blistering HOT sauce.....(just because I can) hahahahaha....
We are talking Carolina Reaper scale with a few other ingredients that I probably wont be able to taste anyway hahahaha...So its out with the Nitrile Gloves and a sharp knife and a pair of safety glasses

Tree down and bagged up for a friend's chiminea, all the small bits in my brown bin, lifted the concrete circle that the tree was in and moved some 4 x 4 posts to the top of the garden, not looking forward to smashing up the concrete though.

The last three days have been much the same...

An hour or so trimming/pruning/weeding flowerbeds in the morning, then after lunch, hand weeding the grass. I know - if the neighbours could see me, they'd have been laughing! But nothing has grown for ages, and the small creeping weed is getting too firm a hold. I don't use weed killers or any chemicals, so hand-weeding is the only way forward. About 160 litres taken off over the last three days, and then this afternoon another 40 litres of thatch (compacted in) was raked out ...

I have been impressed with my wallflower. It is thriving where other plants have withered and died if they have grown at all. I might look into planting some more next year.

Spent this morning putting up a polytunnel inside the polytunnel and then fetching in some tender plants.

Going out this afternoon but will continue the plant moves tomorrow

The garden is looking quite bare without the pots.

Only an hour today this afternoon but I divided Spigelia Marilandica.....replanted one piece and potted a smaller one. Now have 4 largish plants from one over past 3 years. Planted out another campanula Iridescent Bells:)
Still very warm and sunny.........autumn? No way :snorky:

 bet I've borrowed it someone, never mind, got on with demolishing the gazebo, it's opened up the garden and had a few thoughts on what i want to do after.

Put the first of my borders into the garden of my new build and collected some well rotted horse manure from a friends farm and put that onto the borders and will dig it over in the spring when I start putting plants in

I've mowed all the rest of the lawns after Mrs Shiney raked and cleared the willow, silver birch and poplar branches and piles of dead leaves.

Then she started clearing loads of dead laurel leaves from under the hedges, continued cutting back a lot of shrubs and perennials and started on some cuttings. She also tidied up one of the nursery beds.

I dug and weeded one of the beds, picked up a bucketful of windfalls, took apart a blowaway that had some of the supports rusted through and salvaged what I could. Cut back the Wisteria and one of the Choisyas.

I then picked another 5lb of runners (17lb this week) as they've really got back into their stride after the hot weather finished.
