@BigC most of your questions are answered in post #277 :blue thumb:

Re having some of our seeds:- that would be a 'yes' but with an important proviso. Nagas don't produce many seeds at all (some of the chllies have virtually nothing in them) so it would depend on how many seeds there are in the plants that we leave for propagating. We shan't know that until at least November :noidea:. Please remind me about mid November as I quite often forget about the things I'm supposed to check for people.

Thanks @shiney ..I just checked back for that info...appreciated...I will remind you hahahaha
How do you over winter the plants for next season or do you start afresh from seed
        one last question,
What size is the final pot you migrate these into
        Thanks again
        C

We no longer bother to overwinter any. Pots are a little more difficult to sort out. We only pot on when the roots show through the bottom of the pot. So some end up in much bigger pots han others. Some are, at the moment, in 6" pots and others are up to 10" pots. This week will be their final size.

Looking good. :blue thumb: Do you use them all?

I'm down to just seven Nagas, that are destined for sale, and ten Shiney Hybrids that are for our use. All are still flowering profusely. :)

When are you going to start them off for next year? :)

I've got seven large Carolina Reaper plants left and they should be going to good homes this month. They're the slowest developers of all our Naga varieties.

I sometimes find it difficult to distinguish between the different crossbreeds of the Nagas although the Viper is closest to the original Naga Morich. The Reaper and Scorpion are almost identical but the Reaper was crossbred in Carolina and the Scorpion in Trinidad.

I'll try and find time tomorrow to take a photo of our remaining plants - too busy today and quite busy tomorrow. :noidea:

I've had my hab in the greenhouse this summer, it was sown January 2017. It lived in my house all that year and over winter, I pruned it in spring and it grew and grew.
It's had lots of fruit this year, definitely more than it's first year.
Question- is it worth trying for a third year? Is it worth bringing indoors?
As always, any advice is appreciated :)

If you're able to look after it during the winter then bring it in. I used to keep the plants for up to five years - don't bother any more :noidea:

I haven't had the chance, yet, to get out and photograph the Reapers but I took a couple of quick, not very good, photos of one of my Shiney Hybrids in the kitchen.

We keep one Hybrid on the kitchen windowsill as the chillies are in constant use. The plant quickly gets denuded and goes from a prolific plant to a sad, cut back one as we use the chillies. The current plant was looking rather sad but has suddenly gone mad trying to produce lots more chillies. We feed it once a week whilst being used so much.

There are now loads of flowers and babies on it. All the other plants in the greenhouse look very good but are not producing so prolifically.

I counted 26 babies and gave up on counting the new flowers when I reached up to 30.

Did someone come up with a chilli called the ghost reaper? I seem to recall it was unofficially hotter than the Carolina but I can't find it online so maybe I imagined the whole thing!
