Love a good fire Shiney......the smell of autumn though :noidea:

Nothing planned in the garden today but will be passing a couple of garden nurseries incuding the famous Burncoose. ......hmmm! Possibly I will pop in :snorky:

FF9628CE-83F0-47BC-A0B8-017EAD0CBFA1.jpeg DDEA717F-A81E-4A65-9732-B66A340B39B9.jpeg I went off to the dentist this morning first thing while Mr Kandy went over to his and his sisters barn to meet up with a local tree man who was coming to pollard a tree that is starting to get precarious and the Enviorment Agency who Mr Kandy spoke to a couple of months ago wheedled out of taking responsibility for it.His sister was hoping that Mr Kandy was going to shin up the tree and do the work to save some money but he refused so a tree surgeon got the job done and chipped the wood and then took the logs away so that is another job out of the way:yay:

While he was gone I potted up 63 strawberry plants from the ones we have rampaging all over the borders and it is getting beyond a joke now.We only started off six plants that were only supposed to be in the garden on a temporary bases but years later they are still there sending out runners which I keep tripping up as they sneak across the paths:sad: I don’t know what variety these are but some of the leaves are huge unless that is just the age of them and I was thinking of potting up more of them to sell but am running out of room to store the pots as they would need to be well rooted by the spring so have given up with that idea.I will probably end up ripping them all out and binning them as there must be at 500 plants in all the borders that are taking up too much space:sad:

Planted daphne odora aureomarginita, grown from a cutting here, in my nephew's garden. In just over 3 years it has grown into a bushy 80 to 90 cm tall shrub ready to flower next spring :)

            I did too much :old:

I cut a privet hedge 120ft long and 8ft high and then pressure hosed the paving of one of the nursery beds.

Before I did all that I had to get all the equipment out and set up. That was enough before needing a rest. :heehee:

I'm not getting any alerts after I've posted a message on here. Is it just me or is it the same for everyone?
I've looked at my settings and they haven't changed.

I'm not sure what you mean about getting an alert after you've posted a message . I've never had an alert for my own postings (don't really need one :noidea:) but I do get alerts if someone quotes my post or mentions me in a post. :blue thumb:

Although, until today, I have never bothered to look at my settings. :)

I had a try this morning, and checked for any server errors - there was only one, and that related to an image upload failure. I have a suspicion that the mailbox has exceeded its size, and needs clearing out - sadly, that is not something I can help with, and is solely down to @Webmaster
