Quite mild with temperature at 7 a.m. of 54F. Rather overcast but I have the sprinkler on already as we can't dig the weeds out. We have rain forecast for Saturday :blue thumb: but they said the same last Saturday :dunno:

After a lovely summer, May, June and July, the weather here has been terrible since early August. Wind and rain and then more wind and rain with no let up in sight. Our first frost appeared the last week in August...much to early!

Today? More wind and rain but I did manage to pull a few weeds during a half hour let up, 13C/55F.

Sorry your weather has been so bad @Sheal. We certainly had the bad gale about a fortnight ago but apart from that it's been really quite good weather. It's been really dry(too dry for my grass seed to take as well as i would have liked in the reclaimed bit of field:wallbanging:) and no frost yet.I am expecting a frost soon so my Geraniums will be heading to the greenhouse this weekend.

It’s 11 oC here, the heating is still off :hapfeet::dbgrtmb:....I doubt that will be the case for much longer :thud:. We’ve had a couple of fires just to keep the chill off

Thanks @silu but there's nothing we can do about the weather unfortunately. The only bonus I have is that my lawns have stopped growing, it's four weeks since they were mowed. Of course the crofters here are complaining because their livestock have nothing to see them through the winter. The horses are now back in the field on my side boundary and that's probably the only field that has anything to chomp on even though it's not in the best of conditions.

Let's hope your grass gets underway before the temperatures drop. :fingers crossed: We're being promised another bad winter up here, the locals say they usually happen two years running, the last back in 2008/9.

It's foggy this morning but fairly mild at 58F.

Yesterday was overcast most of the day with temperatures in the high 60's and the sun came out in the evening.

                        Still no rain.
