Lovely morning, wall to wall sunshine and not cold. Cut the grass yesterday I hate to say @sheal:rolleyespink: but temperatures heading south on Saturday night. Lots of grass seed has germinated but not where it's very dry so will have to sow bits of the area again next Spring, too late in the season now, here in Scotland.
Hope the owners of the horses are going to feed hay this winter as their field looks mostly Dock , or more correctly up here Docken! Horse don't eat it. Certainly fodder is a serious issue this winter due to the amazingly dry summer. The prices of products produced by fodder fed animals ie cows mainly, is likely to sky rocket due to shortage of hay/hay-ledge/silage. Our supplier who is a neighbour and very reasonable is going to charge us £40 (£28 last year) for a big round bale of hay...that's cheap! I heard from a friend down South that she is going to have to pay £75:yikes:. There are going to be an awful lot of starving animals this winter, even worse than normal:gaah::cry3:. Sorry gone off subject somewhat altho the shortages are due to the weather:)

You can have all of it at the moment @Logan! On second thoughts perhaps not, I promised Shiney some.

You should see what else is lying in that field @Jiffy !

It's a large field @silu and the rest is a bit better than you see there. The horses are semi wild, there's a Shetland in there too. They will be fed during the winter although that was sporadic last year during the snow. One of my neighbours is a retired vet, he checked them out last winter and said they were okay.

Today - more rain with a few hours break. Warmer too with the 'mercury' hitting 15C/59F for a while.

It didn't drop below 52F in the night and is 54F now. Fairly hot and sunny is forecast for today but I'm hoping the forecast is correct for tomorrow and we shall have an end to our drought.

Our first completely dry and sunny day at home today for weeks but out and about the rain was still around. Up to 14C/57F in my garden, 9C/48F elsewhere and currently with a clear sky down to 4C/39F.

A grey, dark day here. Almost needed the lights on all day. It's been wet and cold, still raining now. I'm blaming myself, I watered my pots 2 days ago ( they needed it ) and asked hubby to cut the grass, as the dry weather probably wouldn't last :heehee:
Ever since I watered, it's rained! :snorky:

Yesterday was very sunny in the afternoon and the temperature just topped 73F.

This morning is a mild 52F with heavy rain forecast. The garden is gasping so I've :fingers crossed:

Cloudy again but the skies are trying, (not hard), to clear slightly. The temperature is 51f, it's dry and the pressure reading is 1006hpa. The forecast is for clear skies tonight....but I'm not holding my breath.:dunno::coffee::snorky:
