Why would you want a dog?

I’d love to have three dogs, but whilst we are working as hard as we are now it would be really unfair to have a dog or 3. I hope in the future I will be able to have at least one dog.
We have a cat, he’s 22 , he’s not in the best health (thyroid problem/generally a bit old, deaf & creaky) but we are doing our best for him, he’s meds cost £40 per week & £120 for a blood test every 3 months (I don’t have pet insurance) he eats enough cat food for two cats! But he’s happy, he still jumps on the sofa, meows when we get home, loves cuddles & still hunts!....whilst he’s still active I will pay whatever it takes to keep him comfortable & ‘well’.
Kev has made it quite clear that we won’t be having anymore cats once he goes to rainbow bridge....we will talk about that one when the time comes, there’s so many cats who need rescuing it would be terribly rude of me not to adopt at least one!

 

I've had five rescue dogs and loved everyone of them, they have bought pure joy to us and couldn't imagine life without a dog.

 

We had a cat that was diabetic for his last two years and I had to inject with insulin twice a day. He made 18 years which I thought was a good innings. When he went we decided no more cats.

Ive accidently had three dogs in the past and it was much more work having three than it is having 2 dogs.

 

A dog makes you smile. The best stress reliever too

 

The joys of giving a cat a tablet ….. or a bath. I have the war wounds to prove that Ive attempted both

 

Apart from our rescue doggies we have had 5 rescue cats everyone adored but due to our life style now only dog as would be to scared if a cat escaped on our travels.

 

We only have 8 dogs now!

 

Dogs are such graceful animals

 

Just me and seven of the dogs at the mo, they're all chilled out and sleeping, I'm on GC, absolute bliss.
